Replacement parts for R1200C still being made?

Post by MThomas »

I'm considering an R1200C since I prefer the cruiser style look and posture but I'm hearing that, for one, the gas tank is irreplaceable.
Obviously I don't want to be at the mercy of eBay for parts so is the gas tank unavailability the case and what other parts are no longer being made for the R1200C?

Ask your question here: http://chromeheads.org/index.php

Was a member when I had 1998 R1200C, good special interest group. Saw 3 R1200C bikes at this year Oregon BWM rally... rare but still available.

I like Max BMW because they were the first to put the BME parts micro fiche on line. Take some time to figure out how it works. There's a gold mine of info there.
