Forks need a coat of paint!

Post by hornster »

Hi. First post on this site. I have Edition 80 Rockster (No. 0919, if anyone is interested!). Fork ends are pitted and paint has flaked off. Does anyone know it there is a proper BMW colour code for the metallic blue paint needed to re-coat them? If anyone has had to do this to their forks (I'm sure it's reasonably common), how did you prep them before painting? (It looks to me like they could use a sand-blast....!!). Cheers.
