Good eyes, Its the Babe Magnet cable, as I ride by hot chicks they are mesmerized by the bike then I snag them with this device. Sorry, old man dreams. Its a temporary cable for the ignition switch. I still need to drill out the old switch and replace it.

Foremost thing is to change out the OEM cam chain tensioner, left side, with the BMW upgrade if it has not been done. This is crucial. Very few owner's even know about this issue that can turn your engine into an expensive paperweight in seconds. BMW should have made this a recall item. As it stands the part costs $100. Here's why and how:

When it comes to paint, I will second contacting Holt BMW in Athens, OH. Kent does some amazing paintwork, and Marvin is a master at finding the right part for your needs. Plus, I can't think of a better place to take a test ride on a new bike.

Cruising by, reminiscing of times gone past, good times on my Orange....

Anyway, has anyone mentioned the fuel line disconnects? I'm guessing they've been replaced by now but if not, now's the time. Lots of info on that, quick search on google or otherwise will bring plenty of info.

Update. I love this bike but I am too tall for her. I have seen posts about the Tall seat but cant find any real dimensions/photos or any for sale. I have read it is 2" taller which sounds good but must look odd on the bike.

The tall seat was OE for Edition 80. No, it doesn't look odd .

The Edition 80 is a beautiful bike. Did you change out the quick disconnects for the fuel lines and make certain that no parts of the wiring are flexing, esp up under the triple tree. If not, you need to do that next. The OEM quick disconnects will fall apart and the wires will flex enough that they will break.
