Blind rivet nuts located on the tank

Post by InvisibleOrdinary »

Hi all,

I currently have my tank off, and thought to inspect anything else I should replace/repair while it's off. I'm seeing that a couple of the blind rivet bolts around the tank are a bit worse for wear (see attached image). I'm looking at replacing them, but can't quite figure whether the part comes with the washer or not. it's not stated in the microfiche, but those washers don't look like they are listed separately, either. Does anyone know for certain? I was hoping to place an order before the end of the holiday weekend. Otherwise, I'll just call them up and order next week…

I'm looking at https://www.ascycles.com/2/MicroList?id ... l%20Supply part 10 (46632347012)
and there are two more on each side, I'm not actually finding a reference for. They sit at the back (rider side) of the tank (you can see on at the very right of the image below. The second on that side it around the bend…

Image

Thanks
Dave

If you go to realoem.com and input your vin you will find all of the part numbers for your bike. I have used this for a number of years for both my Rockster as well as my BMW E46 car. The parts you are looking for are under the fuel system heading.

The washers are an integral component to those.
IIRC they're called 'Wellnuts' (or maybe that's one of the manufacturers?)

Oh, and just found the other grommets - they were listed as a part of the side panels. (part# 16112328784)
