I plan to arrive Friday around mid-day. All you early birds have fun, and try to warm up the roads for Saturday's ride.

I just spoke with Joan. She got me a cot under the stairs for Thursday night if I get there early enough. She said Sparky would have to sleep on the couch on the patio.
I had to change out the gear lube in the tranny and final drive of my Toyota truck this week. Saturday we drove up to Hiawassee to pick up the little trailer we're borrowing and Lake Chatuge up there is 18 feet down, with prospects of a dry lake bed by February if the rain doesn't pickup soon. So I guess it's not just a metro Atlanta problem after all.
In a few years this area will be so dry, I may not have to move to west Texas as desired. The landscape will be the same here.

Cyclerob-I got your message too late. And I don't have caller ID on that phone anymore. Consequently, I can't figger out how to call you back. We were in Hiawassee anyways. Did you buy a new bike? :D

Bash this weekend.... no gigs scheduled..... my birthday this weekend....... sounds like a great excuse for a trip!
Thanks for reminding me Steve!
I have a cracked headlight so if it rains I'm in trouble... not another one in North America available. I guess that's what tape is for.

Anyone else camping?

If I can work it out, I will be slabbing it too. I've seen enough cornfields in my life...
I'm not sure what day I'll leave, and will keep you posted.

Great news about the weather Scroll down when you get there:
http://weather.ibegin.com/us/ar/ozark/

Boxer, We just went for a nice sunny day ride where food at the Marietta BMW dealer open house was involved. Great food, BTW!! I planned on test riding the R1200R but there wasn't one available for test riding. The F-800ST was really busy going in-&-out. We both were wearing our Widder vests but didn't power them on. Saw the rad looking new Moto-X model. A slender older lady took a $400 test ride on a R1200RT when she dropped it on it's left side in the parking lot. Valve cover and bag lid were scratched. Somewhat odd because her bike was a (tall) R1200GS. She was not a happy camper.

I'll E-Mail you my ph# but I usually call you, to take advantage of my unlimited long distance call plan.

I just picked up a tour and will be leaving on Thursday until mid January. So it looks like I won't be going anywhere else on my bike this year.
Ride safe all, and have fun!

Bummer ChiTown!

Was looking forward to catching up with you again - and that's damn hard to do too  But, maybe you can catch one of our rides rides next year. Watch "Group Rides" I'll be posting them.

Steve!

That's enough out of you about the weather! Cheese & Rice! You have an LT! My wife has no heated anything. And, need I mention Jen & Troy who went all the way up to Three Lakes in 35-45 F back in Sept. They only had insulted underwear, jeans, t-shirts, sweatshirts and Rain Gear  Jen was so cold - her hands were like touching ice. But she just kept going and with a smile on her face too!

Man, you walked right into that one :P :P

Jeff,

We should be hitting St Louis right around 12:30 or so. I PM'd you my cell phone No. Have a safe trip!

So, Mark, uhm, what exactly IS "Insulted underwear"? :smt017

And I sure do hope that nobody coming to Ozark plans to insult my underwear, or I won't be showing it!

Cool, one of my favorite songs! In an old band I played one of the dual guitar leads too!

Nice touch!

I managed to make it through the day with Halloween fevered kids anxious for candy and the ghoulish fun of traipsing door to door in costume.

I made it home by 4 and it has taken me three hours to get the bikes cleaned up, checked out, and loaded on the truck. Truck tires are checked and properly inflated. Trailer tires as well.
Now I have to pack and eat some food. Sparky just left to go get us a dinner from Longhorn.
We'll see you all tomorrow in the evening sometime. Save me a cold beer.

Well, we have most of the stuff packed, Vickie is so excited she's actually packed, unpacked, and repacked 3 times now  We'll do the last bits tomorrow morning, get my son off to school and hit the road by 8:30am.

Meeting OU812 SW of Bloomington, maybe hooking up w/Biff's R in St Louis, and hopefully getting to Ozark for dinner with y'all!

Everyone ride and drive safe!

We took a "mini" vacation to Hot Springs on the weekend of the 20th and the leaves were just starting to turn. Hopefully you'll get to see some great fall colors.....and not see too many leaves on the ground yet. Have a safe trip folks :)

Oh, Man, B'Mania, you make me envious; wish I could go, but work intervenes!

Y'all have a good time and ride safely.

Do a pass on SR 16 for me--from the Pig Trail (23) to 21.
