2008 FALL BASH MOVED TO EUREKA SPRINGS, ARKANSAS- Join us!!

Post by GypsyRR »

15 rooms have been blocked at the Ozark Motel for Friday, Saturday and Sunday night (Columbus Day weekend), October 10, 11, 12, 2008.
Ten single rooms (king size bed), and five double rooms. All rooms have refrigerator, microwave, high speed internet, cable etc. etc. Check them out online at link below.

Be sure to mark you calendars. Feel free to add days on before or after these dates, if you choose. Just let Joan know when you call for your reservations. You may make your reservation at any time, but after September 15, the rooms will be released from our block.

Reservations:

BMW R1150R Group (please let Joan or Ron know you are with this group)

The Ozark Motel
Ozark, Arkansas
479-667-1500

Arkansas proved to be a great location for a fall bash. Weather was perfect and the roads were great for motorcycling. The traffic was very light which allowed us to cover a lot of miles in the short time we were there. And I think everyone would agree that the hospitality of the people of Arkansas added to an overall great experience. Mark your calendars for Oct 10-12, 2008 in Ozark, Arkansas.

The rooms are booked for Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights:
October 10, 11, 12, 2008.

Like this year, you can add on a day or two at the beginning or end. Oct 13, is Columbus Day. That is why I added the extra night on Sunday, Oct 12. I have the same amount of rooms blocked as this year, but we can always add more if needed.

I was talking with Ron and Joan today (they run the Ozark Motel) and they wanted me to pass along some information to all of you.

1) the R1150R BMW group was the most sophisticated group they have had at their motel.

2) if you have photos of your time there that would be good for their website - please send them to them.

3) a winery in Altus would like to have us come to their place for a group dinner next time. Ron was talking to a representative of the winery and mentioned our group and it sounded like they would do something kind of special for us if we are interested in that this time.

Just passing it along to y'all.

Pffffffftt....

That doesn't say much for the typical group that stays there... And they must have made that assessment when Steve was out riding... badum-chink.... I got a million of em... :smt040

Seriously though... you guys are really making me want to attend this year... If I can just get over the fact that I'll have to slab 750 miles to get there... Is there anything worse than riding slab...? ](*,)

Mountain passes in the snow, or riding the slab in the rain.

I think that Steve was quietly hidden away when the owners came around.
