If I get back to NC in time, I plan on riding to Hungry Mother. Don't think I'll camp, just visit and ride. These days plans farther out than a day or two seem to get changed.

Sure looking forward to friday! I need to get the heck out of Dodge for a bit. Someone earlier asked the question about "adult beverages" as I recall. The park rangers made a point of telling us last year that they don't want to "see" us with an adult beverage in our hands. Some discretion is in order.

Again I'm planning to hit the road by 7 at the latest. Should arrrive 10 to 11 (friday)

Also, here's another tip:

Earplugs at night when trying to sleep. We're going to be in close quarters with 2 tents on some of the wooden "pads". The earplugs will help tune out snorers and if you hit the hay early, the late nighters still up chatting.

I'm going over tonight after to work and hope to snag one of the walk-ins for the next 3 nights.

See you dudes there!!!

I just got word. One of the guys who was coming with me in the morning has work sprung upon him tomorrow and won't be leaving with us early. He may come later so I gave him good instructions/directions.

I think he just read that comment Brian made about possible weather conditions. :-k
We are departing Woodstock at 0630 and its a good 6 hours to HM. If we take a scenic tour it will be longer. Look for us around 12:30 to 2:30.

Marion, VA is about a 510 mile ride for me and though I plan on hitting the road pretty early, I also plan to mix things up between interstate and 2 lane. Probably pull into the park just before sunset.

Looking forward to this - see you all tomorrow.

Bike is loaded and packed. Planning to hit the road 6am or so. Will probably take I-81 for much of the trip. Might hit Rt 11 occasionally. Maybe see one or more of you guys on the road.

Wayne, I could send you a route I've taken there in the past. You'll completely avoid interstates and have great roads, with rt16 being the finale! Especially since you live three hours closer than I, it shouldn't be a problem.

I'll try sending it to you when I get home tonight.
