Missouri Ride in May

Post by maduko »

Precious Moments Tour
May 16-17, 2008
Osage Beach, Missouri

This is a chance to shake off the cabin fever and ride the twisties around Lake of the Ozarks and central Missouri. Headquarters will be the Tan-Tar-A resort complex in Osage Beach, Missouri. Two Wheel Oklahoma will be taping for an upcoming television episode. Registration is $10 (cheap).

This event will be a casual gathering. Riders can follow suggested routes, ride with groups or explore on their own. Each evening we'll gather back at Tan-Tar-A for dinner, drinks and bench racing. Feel free to venture out- but beware the deer! The resort has 5 restaurants and, more importantly, a bar on-site.

On Saturday we'll award the "winners" such coveted titles as Dirtiest Bike or Most Precious Moment. Attendees are encouraged to visit the Precious Moments park in Carthage, MO. After the event we request submissions for the creepiest photo. But it's all in the name of fun and motorcycles!

Visit http://www.twowheeloklahoma.com for details.

I've updated the website with more info. So far we have eight riders and two "spectators" attending.

Also have some nice goodies to give away. Not just lame t-shirts (well... there are some t-shirts). I'm talking Kobe leather riding gloves with carbon fiber bits! Should be a great time and we need more BMWs to show up.

Here's a link to the flyer/registration form.

It's a beach.

Yeah... maybe so.

Seriously though it's a very cool area around the lake. Last year was the first time I'd ever been to that part of Missouri. Great place. And there are some great roads- wide variety, good condition, pretty low traffic.
