Any favored routes coming down from the North? We haven' setup our route yet, but we're planning on doing about 300 miles / day starting on Wednesday; that will get us there on Friday. Might go into Ohio to have another look through the IRON PONY but more likely will take the backroads through western PA the first day, West Virgina & Ky the 2nd day and TN the third day.

I am curious if there will be anyone bringing small drawing-type gifts? I know we did this at the inaugural and at Barstow but I wasn't sure if it was planned for Harriman. I have a few extra farkles that I purchased and decided not to use and would be willing to try and get some dealer swag (think t-shirt) and wanted to know if it would be a waste of time.

I have a pair of BMW pants that are to tight. Happy to donate them to the cause. Nice as they are made in Germany. Old too but in great shape. 34"x34" my guess.
I need a shirt for Dadoo Phil. Size is the same XL color does not matter.

MLW & I will likely bring more NY wine for door prizes & anything else we come up with (if anything else). Really looking forward to it..........

Anybody scouted any real barbecue places? By real, I mean the ones you can smell from a significant distance and that actually have smoke wafting out from somewhere out back, employees that look like they like to eat and customers that do too.

There's a Buddy's BBQ nearby. http://www.buddysbarbq.com/locations.html

Swag-- don't anybody go to extra effort. Whatever shows up can be simply organized into a drawing at the get together. Steve, I wear a 34x34 - wanna sell 'em to me?

For those arriving early (or later): Arrive, Check-in. There is no "then what". Go ride, go eat, sit around and watch others arrive... that about covers it.

Doc, Cyclerob and I will be getting there probably at about the same time...if we haven't already arrived by then. Hang loose somewhere close by and watch for us. We'll find a place close by to go eat (preferably walking distance so we can imbibe) and do some serious bull$hitting. Look forward to meeting you.

When it comes to BBQ; TX & TN are the same compared to NY; but then again; finding a decent Reuben down there is like pulling teeth from a chicken    . Used to get a lot of BBQ in Memphis; sometimes even in the alley behind the Peabody.

It was raining today so I went down to "that guy's" little shop and helped him print some of the shirts. They're almost done.

He has a small surprise for the front 'shirt pocket' image on each shirt.

Good to see you can make it Gypsy.

Daryl let me know if you guys are thinking about going to Iron Pony. It is 25 minutes from my house(3 turns).

Marty2 & I will be on the slab most of the time except for a little excursion on the BRP on day 2. My estimate is 698 miles door to door without the Parkway jaunt and that just screams "Interstate Highway System." We are planning two days down(leaving Wednesday), two days there, and two days home. 300miles/day on backroads times 3 sounds adventuresome to me, but you two are young at heart.

Ride safe regardless.

Looking forward to seeing everyone again this year and meeting some new riders.

Getting close now; going on our first shakedown overnight trip Friday, GSA working good 2-up w/ ESA. Saturday MLW was jabbing me on a ride to Maxie's Supper Club & I say "What's wrong?" .... she says "Go faster....." , pushed it to a little over 90 & she says "Didn't seem like we were going that fast...." 8) 8) 8)

I'm sure it's going to be a fun trip. Thinking of slabbing to Westerville (home of THE IRON PONY), then back-roading from there south. Are there good choices for 2-lanes from there south?
