The Beakster is still not back on the road but the WeeStrom is running strong.

I'm a definite "maybe" and really hope to see you all next month. As they say, "more on this story as it develops".

Mark, I sent my Hungry Mother money to you last night. Sorry for the too-long delay. It's time to ride.

Marvin the Bear killer has also sent in money, so that means C.A. will also come again most likely. There are a couple of other of our friends here in Georgia who may also join us, and I've told them about where to send money, so we'll see.

So from here you can count on me, Marvin, C.A. and maybe one or two others...possibly.

My summer plans were still up in the air, but I've finalized things, and I'm comign to Hungry Mother this year. It will be sad with a key person missing, and that's one of the reasons I'm going; kind of like a tribute to him...

How many camping spots are still available? Who do I pay? How much do I pay? How do I pay? I'm most likely bringing a local friend/coworker; how does that work out?

Most of all, who else is coming?

John, glad to hear you're coming. Mark has reserved the Loop "C" and he wants each site paid for with $47. I don't know if he has all 11 sites paid for yet, by us. Haven't heard from him here in some time. An update would be nice. I'm bringing a contingent from Georgia and we have paid for 2 sites so far. There will be at least 3 of us...maybe a couple more, so the sites may be going faster here than we are aware of....But it's the same deal as always. Whoever you bring to share your site will end up just paying you for his half...unless all 11 sites are not rented and paid for, then you'll have to settle with Mark.
To claim your reserved campsite, please send $47 to me at PayPal
markcooperstein "at” gmail.com OR
If you want to pay by check, send me a PM or email, and I'll provide my mailing address. The following list will be updated as I receive payments. Each site will accommodate 2 tents. In the likely event that more than 11 riders want to attend, the newer people can contact the people on this list and arrange to share a site. Any questions?

Same here. Timewise things are too tight for me to get back in time to teach (meetings are 23rd/class starts 24th). Decided to head West and will spend a few days on the beach and mountains out of the heat (could do that (mountains) here, but why? ;) )

Still planning on coming. Don't have motel reservations yet - plan on doing that tomorrow. Gonna shoot for "Royal Inn". Checking internet reviews, it seems as though Marion Virginia has the ^%$#^%$#'iest motels on the planet.

Look forward to seeing most of you :)

You are correct, Sir. Except for the General Francis Marion Hotel, which was fully booked over a month ago,

Chris and John,

I'm glad that both of you will be at Hungry Mother. It will be good to catch up with both of you, not to mention the GA contingent!

Jeff, (Biff) when do you plan to head down? I will be working until 10PM on Thursday night and then plan to head out bright and early on Friday morning. My new job has me working a somewhat hectic schedule. 6AM-6PM, 6AM-6PM 24 off 6PM-6AM, 6PM-6AM followed by four days off. So basically I work 48 hours in 4 days and then I am off 4 days. The hours are tough but I am loving having 4 days off every week.

At the latest, I will arrive Friday around midday taking the scenic route. Might be able to come over Thursday evening or earlier Friday morning if anyone is around that early.

I am ready for this. All my grand riding plans for the spring were crushed by bike troubles or family obligations. I have some pent up riding to do!

And we need to do some story telling about our missing friend. Like John, I think we need to keep Mike in mind during this event.

And, of course, lift a brew or two after riding is done.

Our north Georgia group is slowly increasing in numbers. Three of us have paid and maybe a couple more will tag along. We'll be leaving the Jasper GA Waffle House pretty early and work our way north on more scenic routes as time allows. Hope to be there before dinner hour.

BEWARE! One of our motley crew decided to sell his F800GS and bought a damn Harley. He's a pretty nice guy so don't kick his bike over during the night.
