Marathon is a small town in rural NY situated as a gateway to the Fingerlakes, Southern Tier Region and within a two hour ride of some of NY's best State Parks. Within day-ride distance of Baseball Hall of Fame and the Leatherstocking region, an hour or so south of Syracuse, less than an hour east of Ithaca and about 30-40 minutes north of Binghamton. Bound to be a fun filled event you won't want to miss. Additional details and pics to follow.

Patty & I are booked.........arriving Wednesday night(5/18) and departing Sunday(5/22).

I was looking for a PA. or OH Bash but the Marathon NY is great for us in Southern Ontario(Oakville), 4 to 5 hours on the Interstate. As of now, please count me in as a rookie Basher, leaving Friday early and getting there high noon. If anyone is riding from the GTA area or Niagara Falls-Buffalo and would like to do a group ride, maybe we could make arrangements. Thanks

According to Google Maps, 730 miles for me. All on I-81. I plan on being there! Doubt my son can make this one, since I will probably take some extra vacation time he doesn't have but unless fate intervenes, look for me! Probably Thursday, so I can do a couple of rides in the area and make the ride worth it!

Sweet; Vann I'm glad you're going to come this far North. It was 798 to Harriman form where we are, but we took some extra time and took two overnight stays to get there. Will be posting up some day rides over the next few weeks. One of them will definitely include Hammondsport, home of the Glen Curtis Museum; Nadine from aviation he was big into motorcycles & did 125+ mph on Daytona Beach on an open bevel shaft drive inlne 4.

Ran through the calendar three times. 2 out of 3 had that weekend open, so very likely for me to make it. Just need to keep myself off the pavement this year.

Fabulous; on a Scouting Mission here right now. FYI, Margaritas are made from scratch, not from a mix.

That's Sharon, the charming proprietor of Three Bears Inn. Said that there will be a tent and picnic table setup for us near our block of rooms for us to use; no problem having a cooler or two there with whatever we want in it. On the Porch, however, we drink from the Three Bears Bar lest we raise her ire .

Looks great Daryl. I will get the dates setup at work and book a room. Please do not put that bear trap outside of my door.

I like the wildlife! Reservations are made. There will probably be 4 of us. It's only 3 hours so that makes it easy. I have spent a lot of time in the Catskills on roads that don't show up on some maps. I haven' yet ridden the Finger Lakes. I can see a day touring each area. Could even consider Cooperstown and the Baseball Hall of Fame.

I will be there Thursday. Room is booked.
