Worst case scenario

Post by OneShot »

If push comes to shove, Boxer and I can use the parts from both our bikes and send him up on the FrankenBeakster.
I'll stay back and ride my mountain bike in my yard through my sprinklers.(with my trash bag poncho, no lard)

Cheers!

Afraid to comment, don't want to jinx it. Anything can happen, though.

I just made a route sheet for the Southwest Loop Ride. If everyone shows up we'll be in at least two groups.

How about roll call? Who's coming?!?!?

+1 - I was hoping no one would comment about the weather forecast. We need to hush-up RIGHT NOW!

I just made my route for the ride down on my GPS. Kevin Markwell is riding down with me Friday, and he's planning on meeting his friend from Norfolk and staying in a hotel.

Leaving from work Friday. Time may vary with how disgusted I get in the afternoon! Probably after dinner arrival however, since if I leave too early, I'll take the scenic route. If I leave late, it's slab-time. :?

Confirming that I will be coming in with R4R&R late afternoon or early evening Friday and my friend Tom projects he will roll in about 8pm that night.

Tires are being installed today...Probably already are..And waiting for me to pick them up to put back on the bike tomorrow or Thursday. Still waiting to see if Oneshot is getting his bike back from the shop.

With him or without him I will be leaving early Friday morning with an approximate arrival at HM early afternoonish.

Can't wait to get on the road and away from here...(the job)

The bike is still in the shop, and I will not be able to make the journey. I was looking forward to this trip, maybe next year for me.

Cheers!

Oneshot,

You're not allowed to cancel.
You now have to ride up on the back of Boxer's bike. He can pack camping gear and haul a passenger no problem. I've seen him do it.

I am planning on riding down with chibbert on Friday, but I have to stop at the dealership in Athens, OH since my final drive is leaking again. We should be there arond dinner time.

If it is getting close to dinner time and we are not there give me a call.

While I like the idea, I don't think Boxer wants to ride to VA on one wheel with a OneShot wheelie bar.

Cheers!

Hey guys - I have too many things to do before I leave town next Monday for my house closing. Therefore I will join you early Saturday morning for an all-day ride, and then head back to Blacksburg that evening.

New rubber front and rear. Pressure checked and tires scrubbed in today. Bags just about packed. Tired as hell and getting a sore throat. Maybe the fresh air and relaxation with a few nightly brews will cure me. Bummed that Oneshot can't come along....Funny, Vann, my wife suggested the same idea. She said I did it last year with Chris. Why not let Nelson ride along behind? I told her it was either Nelson (Oneshot) or the beer cooler and she just shook her head as I was cleaning the cooler today.

But I'll get him up that way one of these trips. Maybe to Willville. Haven't heard a word from Bill Haycock. I think he's got the new house fever.

Anyway, I need the sleep so I may not wake up and leave as early as I thought I would but I'll see you all tomorrow some time. Probably before dark....Hopefully WAY before dark.

I saw Bill at AMA Vintage Days and he is doing well. He is still finishing stuff up on his new house, but is trying to get out on one of these trips.

See you tomorrow.

My departure time may get moved up some. I might make it in around 7ish also. I might call someone (I still have the cell numbers!) if I get there around dinner time!

And Yong, good you can join us at least for the day. You should be able to join us for breakfast, and 2nd breakfast and 11s and lunch. . well, you get the idea. :D
