Thanks Doc for the suggestion to have everyone bring some swag to raffle off at Saturday nights get together. Check with your local bike dealers and see if any of them would be willing to donate something, t-shirts, gear or a bike would be nice. If you have something around that is interesting, bring it down and we will raffle it off! Could be bike related or a bottle of wine or liquor or something local that tastes good. Bring something.
Here are the plans. We have reservations at Country Cooking at 6:00 Saturday night. This is a family style restaurant next to the hotel, so everyone can walk over. No beer is available. If the consensus of the group is to go somewhere where they can enjoy a nice libation with dinner then there is a Ruby Tuesday and an Applebys down the road from the hotel. Hotel does not recommend walking to these. Uber and Lyft car services are available so you won't have to drink and ride.
On Friday we can meet late afternoon/evening down the road at the Devils Backbone Brewery tasting room. Again, not walkable, and if sampling beers would recommend a ride service. For food there are only chips. I am checking to see if they have food trucks or if we could order out for delivery from a local BBQ or pizza joint.
Friday or Saturday night we could have a beer growler get together at the hotel. Stop at Devils Backbone Brewery and bring back a beer growler to share.

Looking forward to seeing everyone and having a great riding weekend.

DB used to serve food. I would double check that. I was there several years ago and their food was delicious!

Walking to Applebee's from the hotel and back is no big deal. Just remember that pedestrians are invisible to the drivers on U.S. 11.

Looking forward to seeing you!

Mike, if Applebee's is walkable, I think that might be a better choice for Saturday nights dinner. I'll make a reservation for the group.

Pretty sure at least 2 from the Norfolk area and I think another from Monterey, Va. I'll verify that today.

I plan on arriving Thursday night. A little later Thursday than I had planned (that pesky job keeps interfering with riding) but I will be there. Hoping to get in a couple of good days riding the great roads in VA and WV and seeing everyone again.

It looks like Vince won't make it this year (his pesky job) but looking forward to seeing everyone! First Bash I will have attended without the R1150R I attended Bash I with, how many years ago?! Sort of strange!

Not too many "R's" left as many have moved on. All things must pass.
Looking forward to seeing everyone again as it has been too long.

Ride safe!

Talked today with a friend who attended in '14 and '15. Frank P who is riding a V-Strom. I think he's anxious to participate. Seems the list might be growing. Praying for good weather!

Yeah I guess some of our R's might be getting long in the tooth. Well that's OK. Mine is getting close to 80K. But the event is about seeing old friends and riding/spending time together. Doesn't matter what you're on.

Thinking about this...checking other weekend plans; if I do, it may be only for Saturday/Sunday, but I live kind of close. Will get back and let you know.

John....really hope you can make it! Rode thru there both yesterday and again today. It has been so incredibly beautiful and I think the weather looks to be good the rest of the week. Looking forward to seeing everyone!

Hello gents - it looks like I won't be able to make it this year. I've had a complication come up (in a good way but one that keeps me at home this weekend). I was looking forward to seeing y'all, so I'm not happy about that.

Briefly thought About trying for this, breaking it up into two 400 mile days and visiting some family in Kentucky and Indiana, but the timing just isnt there. Coaching soccer, kids bdays etc.

Ride safe, folks, and please post tons of photos. Picture of BMW boxers never get old for me :)
