Gents - with 5 kids at home and weather being what it is, I'm making a game-time decision to stay home. Sorry about that. I had been looking forward to see y'all again as it has been a couple years since my last Bash attendance. Have a safe rest of the rally.

Obviously I'm not there nor will I make it. I had previously (6 wks ago) agreed to join two friends and ride to the ROC Rally near Knoxville next Thursday. I too late remembered about the Bash and tried to gain tomorrow off as well. Working p/t (3 yrs now) and couldn't get Sat. All the rain we're having here has made me think I'm glad to be working tomorrow. I'll miss seeing you guys (and gals) but there will be next year!

Looking at the weather for Oakland, Md., I'm going to pass on riding up there today. Thunderstorms and hail does not make for a fun camping experience. Ride safe!
I'll most likely get out for a day ride tomorrow, and next weekend I'm going on a multi-day camping trip starting in West VA, then Kentucky, Tennessee, and finally western NC.

Looks like it was a bit of luck that I couldn’t attend this years Bash. On Tuesday we had tornados in the area and a macro burst that took out thousands of trees and power in CT and NY. I’ve been on a generator since then and power will be restored sometime later this week. I would have canceled due to the storm. I’ll be back next year. Let’s try Staunton again next year. Hope the weather is good for all of you this weekend
As the only internet I can get is driving down to Danbury and sitting in a Starbucks! Have a great ride.

We’ve had several roads washed out or flooded here, including Interstate 26 being closed. Some landslides around also. The back roads are full of gravel and mud. I hated missing this but it turns out there was much to do getting ready for company for wedding tomorrow, so it was a good thing I stayed home. Hopefully we get a break and get some good weather in the morning for the wedding! Next year!

Arrived home Safe & Sound about an hour ago. Turns out Doc was right, front tread depth was not good
I’ll have to install that new one now. Rain for about half the trip back.
Lots of good roads this year, weather was nice Saturday, food and company was great the whole time.

I am back in Columbus. Unpacked, cleaned up and at rooster's getting a bite to eat. Travelled 985 miles round-trip.

Home without incident at 3:00 pm. Despite the mercurial weather pattern and riding various conditions, it was a fun Bash. We got a chance to recon some outstanding roads in Maryland, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania over the three days not to mention good times and great food!
When I have a spare moment, I'll post a recap.

To all those that couldn’t make it this year...you were missed by myself, Daryl, Steve and Doc. We had bad weather and good weather but only good times riding and hanging out together. We do appreciate the mention of a location for next year but we had already come to a consensus as to the location of next years bash. I will be stepping up as the bashmaster and the location is intending to be Franklin WV. I will post a formal thread with details once I confirm the arrangements with the hotel. Look for that toward the fall.
