It's Hungry Mother time again!

August 17-19 at Hungry Mother State Park, Marion Va. This has been a premier destination-camping trip-ride for 15+ years now. Great times with good friends and fantastic roads. I look forward to this each year.

Great camping facilities with newly remodeled bath house facilities and raised tent pads. There are I believe 11 pads in the loop with room on each pad for at least 2 tents so if you're a late comer we'll make room. The camping loop is referred to as Royal Oak Campground. It's about $47 for two nights camping per pad so if you share a pad you'll be paying about $24.

Route 16 out of Marion into WV is called the "Back of the Dragon" as compared to the "Tail of the Dragon". Incredible road that everyone should ride at least once. https://www.virginia.org/listings/Outdo ... theDragon/

Hope to see you there! (or many of you!)

I have one campsite reserved and I REALLY hope I am able to make it up there when the time comes. I love that place! Too bad about the Appletree. We'll need to find another "go-to" breakfast location. :-k

It looks like campsites are still available for this great weekend, and NASCAR is racing not too far away the same weekend, so book up early to guarantee a site!

I got a site some months ago. Looking forward to another weekend at Hungry Mother! We do need to find a breakfast plate, without golden arches!

No, but this place is worth a stop. It's much more fun than the Yellow Pages.
