I say we don't worry about this for a while, and start getting ready for that Hungry Mother regatta.

As food for thought Barber Motor Sports is only about 108 miles from the state park that was suggested. :D

If a cooler location is desired than Alabama in May, (I am typing this after finishing some postponed yard work in 84 degree temps :? ) and we are not opposed to a return to WV roads (who could argue that!), this Bed and Breakfast in Marlington, WV was recommended to me this morning by a local rider. I know some locals who stayed there and loved it. Run by a motocyclist formerly from Asheville apparently. Click on the "motorcycle friendly" tab on the left. A porch for the BSing, covered bike parking, walking distance to restaurants and great roads.

Or, it might be a location for a September, post Labor day mini-Bash!

If we make arrangements early enough, we might could rent the whole thing!

Food for thought. Can't start day dreaming soon enough!

Nice looking place Vann. I think that we rode by it in 2005, since it is close to Bartow.

I would also agree that farther north, or up in the mountains would lead to cooler more comfortable temps.

I'm voting for upstate New York. We haven't done anything up north yet. I'm going to make sure I can attend next year no matter what.

We're having one in August at Hungry Mother State Park. Bring your poncho.

Phil, I get the impression that you might show up at Hungry Mother wearing your Joe Rocket life vest and your Shoeisnorkle and riding your Roadster with its Old Town sidecarnoe.

The Old Clark Inn looks like a good deal if we rent the entire place at 2 plus riders per room. What about a MicroTel in the WV area?

And if we go in shifts, we can eat at French's Diner.

If we go to WV, I think that we should take a picture and send it to Sen. Byrd thanking him for helping WV maintain such wonderful roads. :D

If anyone wants to do Marietta again, I can organize most everything in a couple of hours/minutes. We can ride the WV side of the River.

Well - I realize that my vote may not carry as much weight since I ended up not making the bash this year but I like the idea of New York or Bartow, I truly liked the bash last year at Bartow - what a great area and maybe I can find some ramps again.

I like the idea of New York. Got a sister living in Woodstock. Could stop in and see her. Gonna be there next year Lord willing. No school to stop me.. just a job, but as my new job hasn't actually started, I don't know what the scheduling will be like, but come hell or high water...I'm going wherever it is. Utah? Sho nuff sounds like a good idea to me. Unmentionable crimes? What exactly did you have in mind? :) :) :)
