The wife and I may be able to do this, as long as y'all don't mind a V-Star in the mix.

Either Sept. 28-30 or Oct 5-8 would work as long as we decide soon in order to get vacation time scheduled.

Our reasoning:

1. We kinda' have some property in Bella Vista that we would like to see.
(Long weird story)

2. We NEED to eat at Lambert's "Home of Throwed Roles" Check it out:

http://www.throwedrolls.com/

If you come through Sikeston or Springfield/Branson, MO... it's a must stop and eat place. (It's all about the ride...but it's a lot about the food!)

3. and most of all, I would like to meet and shake hands with some of the people who have answered questions and influenced my decisions.

Last weekend in September or first one in October could work for me! After more than two weeks together constantly on our trip, the wife probably will help me pack the bike, just to see me go!

Well, I was talking to one of my buddies who happens to ride a Harley and told him where we were thinking of going and when. He mentioned this event http://www.bikesbluesandbbq.org/ I'm like whoa...that weekend might get a little crazy to find a place to stay. I don't mind small gatherings but thousands and thousands of bikes...

Since I'm apparently a thread killer :P If we do it the weekend of Oct. 6th, would anyone be game for Hot Springs rather than Fayetteville? I know there are no straight roads leading into that city given the amount of water around it...

Big C,

I prefer Hot Springs to Fayetteville. Ride over to Mena, into OK and back on the scenic highway. Skip the more crowded areas.

But there are no real organizers yet. Al really wanted a North Alabama meet (good idea) and others might prefer different weekends ( I picked Oct 5-8 as a push, not as a firm date).

Until someone really takes responsibility (and then the others complain anyway) it just won't happen.

(Not suggesting you do it, just sayin').

You guys do realize there is a huge Vintage meet at Barbers in October. Vintage races, swap meet, bike show, etc....don't you ?

It's a great meet. Would be one heck of a lot of fun. And Barbers is a huge place so don't think you shouldn't go there because of the crowd.

Arrange your meet at Barbers Vintage Days and you will always return. No kidding !!!

Barber's Vintage Festival October 19-21, 2007, Leeds, Alabama

That's a target gang.

Some planning usually works at this stage and then folks start saying yes.

AND

There is still October 5-8, Hot Springs, Arkansas idea (concept/vision/thoughts).

Just lookin' fer a boss.

Here is a free idea for a title: South Beaks.

My appologies to all......what started as a good idea got washed out by other non fun responsibilities, so much so that I have not only been away but also have sold my mounts recently.

I still believe that the Southern State folks should consider a Bash.....I was involved with the first two and they were a blast. I'd be willing to help if I'm around......might be riding something different.......

Anyone out there that wants to assume the lead.....
