Announcing the 2007 Hungry Mother State Park Roadster Ride
Announcing the 2007 Hungry Mother State Park Roadster Rain Ride
Friday, August 17 through Sunday, August 19 2007
Ride Southwest Virginia Mountains and camp in the luxurious Loop C at Hungry Mother State Park, Marion, Virginia.
10 reserved sites in Campground C for 2 nights. Max 6 persons per site. Realistically fit 2 tents max.
Park features a restaurant, swim beach, showers/latrines, firewood...
Campground C is a wooded, hillside site with a small loop asphalt road. It is located deep in the park past the lodge, office, restaurant, swim beach, and RV sites.
Sites 1-3; 5-6; 8-11 are 16'x16' wooden platforms. Sites 4 & 7 are gravel pads. Site 4 comfortably fits 3 tents. Others probably fit 2 tents. Plan accordingly for wind and rain security. You may need to guy out your tent instead of staking it.
Mark your calendars now and no excuses...
Pre-pay Mike Cam via Paypal (send PM or e-mail first) $40.00 per site (two nights minimum). Excess funds buy a firewood supply for all. No other registration needed.

The Older I Get, The Less I Know.
Thanks Mike, for taking this on again. What would we do without you?
The camp sites (if like last year) are first come, first serve. Get there early to stake claim on your preferred site! Or you can 'camp' in one of the local motels in Marion, VA.

Hope I can make it for at least one day of riding. Father duties may call for most of the weekend however!

I cant come....WAHH!!!
Gentlemen,
I regret to say that this year I won't be frequenting the Hungry Mother ride. My son and I are involved in a local outdoor drama production called: "The Trail of the Lonesome Pine" which runs through the end of August. They have shows Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Depending on circumstances.. I might be able to ride over Saturday morning, as long as I can be back in Big Stone Gap by 7PM Saturday night, but I can't guarantee it at this point.
MikeCam...I will be paypalling you some $$$ to help defray some of the campsite costs. I really wish I could get there...oh well.

Like cross my legs?
Like so I won't get burned?
Like a fugitive?
Say, you bringin' that bubble? If it rains hard enough you could sleep in there with the bike. Is that a 2 man bubble or a 3 man bubble. Wait, all bubbles are 1 man bubbles regardless of size right? Just like tents!
