Anyone know an interesting way to get across Kansas. Done 70 (a few times) 36 and 50 looking for something South maybe 160.

Please - no Kansas jokes.

Harry, driven Kansas (lived there as well) a few times ... the lower south/east side of the state has some hills ... but the rest of the state is flat as a pancake and honestly not horribly interesting. The storms are what you have to worry about in the summer time ... lightning storms can be REALLY intense.

yep.

the whole middle. flat and smells like an oil burning stove.

We always would drive n-s to the dunes in Oklahoma every year. it IS cool to go through some of those old towns. further south you get, trees are "bleached" signs and houses are faded and colorless. Though drab and dull, its a story. Think about the dust bowl and all that. Its somewhat hilly down there, but completely tree-less.

Got caught in a major windstorm down there. sand blowing. Friend jumps off his atv clasping his wrist. I laugh, thinking he hurt himself. then ZAP i got shocked! blowing sand making static electricity, going right through the levers. LOL it HURT..

Id enjoy it on a bike. BUT. Not gonna be ready to do it by car soon LOL.

youve already said 36 and 70, youve exceed my knowledge of "interesting" e-w routes through Kansas.
