Great info and trip report. I can see how folks get addicted to the "long haul" IBA events... just completed my 1st Saddlesore 1k and enjoyed the experience.

Enjoy that National Parks quest!

Thanks for the comments you'll. Mark it is too bad I will not be making it up your way to collect some national park stamps. Maybe in a couple of years.

Great write up. A 50cc is on my list of things to do. Your pictures brought back memories of my trip in 2004 to Las Vegas whee I rented a R1150R for a couple of days and took day trips to Zion NP in Utah and also cruised Lake Mead. Never did have the time between meetings to make it to the Grand Canyon. Keep us updated on your National Parks progress. Have fun.

Thanks Tom,

I would love to have a couple of weeks to ride out there with little or no agenda.

I plan on going up to DC the middle of next month to collect a few more stamps (and hopefully a bunch more states).
