Honda ST 1100 PAN EUROPEAN

Post by Robert_winter_1000 »

Hello all,

I am thinking to buy a Honda (ST 1100 PAN EUROPEAN) around 2001 as extra bike. Has anyone experience with it? Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Regards

My good riding buddy has one(US version) and he loves his. Plenty of power, wind protection, great motor, easy to replace clutch(@ the front of the engine). All in all I liked riding it when given the chance. The stock bars are a bit forward like the Rockster and I found it kinda hot on the legs(when the temps are above 90 f).

I have not riden the 1100, but I have riden a ST1300, They are a heavy motorcycle almost 800 lbs. They have a decient seat, have great range, and a killer headlamp, it is a Honda so service is everywhere. Overall a very nice road bike. My biggest complaint was the amount of heat it generated, at freeway speed it's ok but in traffic or on a warm day they can be uncomfortable. I did not ride it in cold weather, but the heat would be welcome then.
