Pics of my bike

Post by Ksbeemer »

I think I finally have this picture posting at least partly figured out. Here are a couple of pics of my new-to-me 2002. Love that Sienna Red. See the snow in the background? I want warmer weather and I want it NOW!!!

Great looking bike!

In case you've not been warned. Replace your stock plastic fuel line disconnects with something like this. You do not want to end up with nasty yellow/brown stains all over the silver paint on the right side engine and tranny! Do not spoil that beauty!

http://www.beemerboneyard.com/cpcqkdiscon.html

in the search box, type the words: quick disconnect

look through those threads and find info about swapping them out.
I was dreaming when I wrote this, forgive me if it goes astray...

Thanks for kudos and for the link. I have read about the fuel line failures, but didn't know which ones where the "good stuff". I am quite please with this purchase, except that I have only ridden it about 15 miles, so far. We had one nice day last weekend, but I still had the high seat and I just didn't feel good about not being able to reach the ground solidly. I now have the low seat and all is well, but our weather just plain sucks. The forecast doesn't look very good for the near future either.

By the way, PJBrendel from this board who also just got a new R-bke, is getting the high seat. Great the way this forum links us Beemer Dudes together.

Thanks again

You've got good taste in bikes! (Spittin image of mine except mine's 04 new to me in 08). I did the Beemer Boneyard QD's last year, not too tough to do. Most of our snow is melting fast here, and it's been above freezing overnights, so it's time to get the Roadster out. Enjoy your ride!

I think I would have gotten a blue one, if I couldn't have found a red one. Notice the HD Low Rider in the background....it's red....my truck is red....all of my vehicles are red! Red, Red, Red. :D

The weather forecast shows next week to be warmer (50's) here in Topeka, Kansas. I can't wait, but I guess I'll have to. [-o<

Very nice.

It's "Piedmont Red", (I think)......anyhoo it is absolutely the finest color.
The smart ones all know that!

Very Nice Pic. Very nice Red Bike! What I would give to be where that pic was taken, right now!

I believe yours is Piedmont Red. But Mine is Sienna Red.

See: http://bmbikes.co.uk/schemepages/schemer1150r.htm

Anyway you look at it.....Red, is Red.....is Cool!

Is that the stock tall BMW windshield? Looking for a windshield for my R1150R.
Thanks

Perhaps, someone else on the forum will know which windshield it is. I am sorry, but I don't know because it came with the bike and they called it the Touring windshield as one of the options that came with the bike.

I love it!!!!!! =D> Nice pic.

I'm not quite an old fuddy duddy  just yet. But now that I am closer to older than younger, I don't play with my toys when it's not nice outside.

Great looking bike! Really like the look of the short tinted windscreen. I'll have to see how I like the taller one When the snow clears, but I like the look of the one you have.

Go Red!

That's the "first" BMW touring windshield. It uses the same mounting system as the Sport shield shown in the snow pic above. Later they came out with a different touring windshield which mounts...well...differently.

The pic below shows the small speed screen (third screen option) on Carlos' "red" (not sure if its Piedmont or Sienna) bike at the Marlinton, WV Bash. Notice how the reds of the building send your eye down to the beautiful red bike below...Yuk yuk yuk.

Nice Pic. Pretty bike. Thanks for the info. It's nice to know that I can get the sportier windscreen with the mounts that I have.

No, I didn't take or edit these photos. A friend and riding buddy of mine happens to be very good with a camera and a computer.
