Back in the Saddle Again

Post by Witch Doctor »

Well I loved my 99' R1100R, but sold it in 2005. Though selling it was a blessing, as 2 weeks later Katrina hit New Orleans and most assuredly the bike would have been destroyed.

So, its been a few years, and started looking for a newer used GS or RT, then i found this yesterday

Needless to say I am back in the saddle again, picking her up next Saturday.

Stoked =P~

Well, just got back from Daytona BMW. The new R1200R Classic came in, beautiful bike, not for $18,000 though. When the salesman told me, I about burst out laughing. He couldn't figure why , sad really.

Congrats witch doctor. Absolutely gorgeous bike. Someone did a great job cleaning it up. Looks like it just came off the showroom brand new.

:lol: I had my 1999 R1100R, and loved it. When I started looking for a new bike, I couldn't find any that were what I wanted. Almost pulled the trigger on a 2006 GS last Friday, but decided to think about for the weekend. Saturday night I was lurking IBMWR's market and found that little gem. Just happens to be my old R bikes younger twin. Its great when you regret selling a bike, then a few years later finding it all over again.

I still think about my old R1100R now and again. Just a very classic and well drawn bike.

Enjoy.

Well, I picked it up, very clean and as advertised. The only issues are the light for the speedometer, the high beam bulb needs replaced, and new brakes. Will get it fixed and ready to rock. Took it on a little 300 mile run
