Tragedy in Russia

Post by sjbmw »

On Sept 7th, the Russian KHL hockey team Lokomotiv's plane crashed after takeoff flying to their season opening game in Minsk, Russia.

43 players, coaches, and staff members were killed, including 7 former NHL players, and Brad McCrimmon, former NHL star defensman, who was their first year head coach.

The home opener for Minsk became a memorial service.

This is heartbreaking video, in any language.

Freedom is dangerous. Those in power that steal freedom are more dangerous.

Most motorcycle problems are caused by the nut that connects handlebars to the saddle.

There was also a German player amongst the victims. Unfortunately airtraffic all over the former soviet union is a mess and flying around there is a high-risk exercise. Not only because the maintenance of the planes is very poor but also because the language capabilities of airtraffic controllers leaves much to desire ... Better not fly around there if you are not suicidal.
