Conti-motion report

Post by Acpantera »

I tried a new set of tires this season, the Continental entry level sport touring tire called conti-motion. At $175us delivered they were very cheap and I was thinking if I got 5000 miles out of them they may be a good value.Well, after 5100 miles the rear tire began to show some graining down the center at 2/32"left and the front looked great with 3/32" and showing no signs of cupping or feathering. At 5500 miles the metal cords started showing on the rear and I just changed it($100) and I think the front should last another 4000. All in all I would say the worked well in every condition and cost per mile is on par with other tires I have owned.($275 for 9500 miles)I think I'll try a new set of Briggstone 023's next. I always got 7-8000 miles out of 021's. Has anyone else tried the conti-motions or the BS 023??
