Bosch 0232101093 Timing Module

Post by feuerwehr7 »

Hello to all,

I have 3 "gummikuehe" Beemers 1 1999 R1100RT; 2003 R1150R; 2002 R1150R. I inadvertently overheated (idle in garage  ) the 2002 R by sheer ignorance. Anyway, the bike won't start anymore. So I checked Hall Sensor with the discibed LED Method and it showed a positive result. I checked the Coil and found the secondary side (7kOhms) was bad. so I changed out the coil, but still no spark. Fuel Pump was priming, side-stand was in up position, kill switch in center position so everything fine. So I swapped the Motronic from the 2002 TO THE 2003 Bike and the 2003 R started fine. So least but not last I swapped the Hall Sensor from the 2003 to the 2002 and she STARTED. So now to my question: Even the LED Check revealed that the Hall Sensor was fine it did not function (did not when installed) . I inspected the wires and connector and could,t find any issues. Can anybody elaborate on why it did not work ??? Or why is the LED check not validate correctly the function of the sensor.
Amazon is selling this Sensor with a lead time of 3-5 Weeks.

Thanks for your reply and "Gute Fahrt"
