End of my unannounced hiatus

Post by daveyator »

Hey guys.
As nobody probably noticed I haven't been on here in almost a year. I lost my head and sold my '07 R12R just after last Xmas. That lasted until yesterday when I picked up my new to me '11 R12R Classic. Just saying "hey" again. What'd I miss? lol! Oh yea a tall comfort seat is on the way.

Welcome home, Dave.

I debated for weeks between this and a new 90th anniversary edition. This ones looks and $4000 savings finally won out.

lost your head and sold your 07? you actually made and execellant move.. what'd you miss? lets see-- fuel strip failures, final drive failures, battery upgrade suggestions, the widespread, rampant abs failure I predicted 2 yrs before it started,, and of course a few more bmw bugs that have by and large been "solved" by the time 2011 bikes rolled out...........

And, of course, you fortunately missed the ill-informed, imperious and self-important diatribe of this sort. Welcome back.

Assuming this is from our old friend Uncle BS - using the Ignore feature works well. I never see anything he posts, just the aftermath when people get pissed off at him. If he was totally invisible to everyone bet he'd go away.. (if you throw a troll into the forest and no one is there to hear him land sort of thing..)

What a tirade. My '07 gave me ZERO problems and I regret selling it. The '11 is definitely more refined and the classic frankly looks better but if I had it to do over again I might have just stuck with the '07.

I DO wonder what makes him tick and why he ticks at all if he doesn’t own an R1200R. I however don’t think that my “seeing” or not seeing anyone will be a significant enough punishment to have any influence at all.
Sometimes when I ignore someone they don’t even seem to notice.
What is happening to my skin?
Where is that protection that I needed?

I tried to add him as a friend... didn't take for some reason.

All true, but it does save *you* from having to wade past his...stuff.
