Unfortunately the tire is toast. It ripped the sidewall.

Pretty much resigned to hanging here until Tue. Just hope they have a michlen p3 in stock since both front and rear are/were new tires.

I'll write when I get home. Thanks.

Sorry to hear about your tire Steve. Timing could not have been worse. Hope you're able to find an alternative to having to wait until Tuesday.

As Vann noted in his post, I rode 421 once I left Boone and hit "The Snake." Very similar to Deal's Gap except it has two curvy sections with more of an ascent and descent sections. I arrived in Blacksburg around 4:40 this afternoon and hung out a bit at my Alma Mater.

Great reconnecting with you guys in person. I really enjoyed the Bash, and the rides reminded me of the life I had when I lived in Southwest VA. I'll come down Thursday next year to hang out longer.

Bob, Frank and I arrived back in Staunton around 6:30 Sunday eve. We took our time and ran the BRP much of the way. Frank asked me to pass along his thanks for making him feel so welcome. I believe a BMW will eventually be in his future. We all had a great time and very much looking forward to showing all some Virginia hospitality next year!

Thanks again for the great job Vann!

Sorry to hear about your flat Steve. There must be a bug going around. I also had a flat on the way home. Picked up a piece of glass about 20 miles east of Roanoke on Rt 24. It happened within 5 miles of where Buckster had his breakdown on the way to the Bash. Luckily I was able to plug it and make it the rest of the way home. New tire in my future.

Great Bash again this year. Good seeing old faces and meeting the new ones. Looking forward to next years Bash already.

Thanks Vann

No rules. No agenda. No officers. No bylaws. No dues.
How do we manage to have so much fun?
It was a great weekend.

I just arrived home about a half hour ago. Worked a day in Blacksburg before taking off just before 5 in the afternoon to beat the traffic out of the 'burg. Had a great time. Again, it was great reconnecting with y'all. The R1200RT and the Wasserboxer transported me a little over a thousand miles spread out over 4 days in comfort. Not even tired. Looking forward to seeing y'all in August.

I made it in today at 6:30pm. Left the dealership with a new P3 rear tire at 12:30pm. Total miles 948.

Thanks to Vann, I enjoyed the ride Saturday and dinner with everyone. I plan to see everyone next year in VA.

Steve,
Sorry I didnt check the board. I have a PR 2 in the garage that would have been enough to get you home. Whoops. I got home at 1:50 on Sunday. 5:20 minutes for 356 miles including stops. Not a bad average, but could have been a little better.

I'm in the process of assembling photos for a slideshow for those who could not attend. If you took photos on your rides, could you send me some pics taken on those rides? I already snagged a few from Buckster and Yong.

Thanks

I was wondering if anyone took any photos.

All I had was one of Andy, Opie, and me, and one of some old guy stuffin' himself with fish....

It was good to see everyone again...but the 17 hour drive from FL nearly did me in.
