B-Twins Quick shifter and Rapidido quick throttle pulley

Post by Mike Figielski »

Hi Guys,
Edkuh (a member here) was good enough to send me a B-Twins quick shifter and a Rapido quick action throttle pulley to try on my R1200R. I finally got them installed and tried them out today after a long winter. I am really impressed with the quick shifter, really makes the shifting quick and precise. Same with the rapido quick throttle pulley. Makes the bike feel quicker and throttle response is instantaneous. Same power but the feeling is of quicker acceleration. Not so quick that it would be twitchy or annoying on the highway but a nice improvement in the quickness of the throttle response.
The shifter was very simple to install, no trouble at all. The throttle pulley was easy too but more involved. You need to remove the tank and pop the cover off the throttle cable distribution box and then remove cable ends from the OEM plastic pulley and install them in the replacement aluminum pulley. My bike did not need any throttle synch or adjustments. All in all pretty cool stuff! Not sure if B-Twins has a website or not yet but here is a link to Ed's Vendors post on ADVrider with details:
