Transmission & Final Drive oil

Hello everyone!

My first post here. I have a 1999 BMW R1100R with about 40,000 miles. I will be changing my transmission oil and final drive oil but can not find the right viscosity of lube that is required for both.

I am also planning on getting synthetic, this is recommended vs conventional oil correct?
