intro

Post by woolly »

Hello,
New user from NJ. I currently ride Honda Shadow and a KLR 650. Looking to swap out the Shadow for something a little more comfortable at highway speeds, so got interested in the R1150Rs.

I'm learning a lot from this forum.

Welcome to the R board!

I'm a bit of an old timer here but still learn much from the members here. I've got near 94K on an '04 R. Never get tired of it. It's been reliable and easy to service. Most of what I've learned to do I learned from the members here. And I've experienced generosity from several members here when I was looking for some parts/accessories. If you find yourself the proud owner of an R (or any BMW) you won't regret hanging out here.

Welcome Wooly. The R1150Rs are a blast to ride and you can find beautiful examples on the market for sale. And folks on this forum can answer your questions. Good luck in your search.

Welcome Wooly, it was the test ride that caused me to trade in my Bonneville that day for my 04 R1150R
That was last year. The way it tracks on a curve is something amazing. It’s so good you usually don’t second guess entering
A curve it’s that good. Also I believe it’s the most attractive looking Roadster BMW ever made.
