Post by ewstephens »

Has anyone tried SW-MOTECH's new toys for the K1200R?

I just saw the tankbag in Motorcycle Consumer News. Thanks for any input!

Thanks for the post ew. The engine guards and centerstand are enticing. Does anyone happen to know the price of the BMW centerstand?

BMW centerstand and install kit is $140 from Chicago BMW from what I understand.

Someone ought to let Twisted Throttle know that BMW's don't have chains. This cut from their centerstand posting:

"The must-have accessory for sport-touring! Greatly eases basic chain maintenance..."

Makes one wonder just how much business they do with BMW owners.

These go fast looking sport bikes like the K1200 just don't suit extra luggage hanging off them. They look like add-ons and are fugly.
Like putting a 200kg jockey on a thoroughbred!!!
