external mounting of fuel filter on 96 r1100r

Post by schretpat »

Has anyone tried to do this? I found a process here done by Rob Lentini and am taking a cloudy 4th to do mine. One question: the filter is mounted on the pressure line; the directions call for the flow arrow on the filter to point toward the front of the bike. To me this seems backward as the fuel flows from the tank and fuel pump toward the injectors which would be towards the rear of the bike.

thanks,

Yes. Point the arrow in the same direction as the flow. I put mine just under the tank trime on the right side. using fi hose and clamps is a must. goo :D d luck.
