In the event anyone drops by...
Just bought a Hotwired heated jacket liner at Cycle Gear. It works fine using the included fused battery harness, but when I plug it into the R's outlet, its pilot light comes on briefly and then goes dark, and it does not heat. No dashboard message. I've confirmed that the socket provides 12.something volts.
Any thoughts?

Re: Power Socket
Yes but: I RTFM'd and found that the socket will shut itself off if the draw exceeds 5 amps. The jacket liner is a 10 amp device, so the power socket is performing as it should. Disappointed that I have to use the kludgy battery harness, but so it goes.

Re: Power Socket
As long as my charging indicator doesn't light, can I use my heated liner, handlebar heat, and high beam with no worries? Anyone here doing that?
