Question for K-bike owners R vs RS

Post by Hopz »

I was looking at an ad for a K1200RS and thought it was a pretty spiffy bike.

Can someone enlighten me about what BMW implies with an "RS" designation?

What is the K-bike like compared to the R's?

FASTER! A lot faster.......... RS,RT,LT. Road sport? Road tourer. Long tourer. Just guessing, though I have owned RS and LT. :oops:K bikes of the RS had a small faring, LT large.

K1200RS is the older "Flying Brick" inline 4 engine, the engine is laid on it's site and the crank is longitudinal within the chassis.

The K1200RS SE is a bloody fast mile muncher, but heavy.

Nothing to do with the newer K1200 bikes (The K12S, K12GT, K12R and K12R-Sport).
Non quod, sed quomodo.

Yes, but it carries it's weight well once it's moving.
