I am still trying to figure out what use a chopper is for other than
admiring and placing is custom shows riding them is out of the question
so if you have a motorcycle you cant ride, you dont need it.

That is marketed to 'wannabes'.
The ladies that do expose themselves (except during Mardi Gras) are a little different.
To each his own.
My wife made the observation that some people play 'dress-up' when they ride and some people just like to ride. It seems to cover all camps too, from tough guy biker (or bikerette) to would-be World Traveler.

Maybe you should try that custom orange on your R!
It would be a one-of-a-kind!
Then orange might be the fastest color!

Hey don't laugh. I have thought about doing that very thing. I think a strong orange or bold yellow would be uber cool. Maybe some narly black graphics.

And by definition, it would be the fastest color.

Too bad they never sold the yellow jackets in the US.

I may still do it if I need to repaint for any reason. But my granite grey is pretty classy -- maybe not the fastest color but certainly the classiest.

I have long wondered why people like choppers so much. They're not functional and in most cases look pretty ugly to me. The fork on a Dyna Wide Glide or a Softail Custom is about the furthest I'd want my front end kicked out. Beyond that is sheer lunacy from the standpoint of riding safety. If I can't commute on a bike with reasonable peace of mind, then it's not worth owning.

As for dressing up, I find the reaction from onlookers humorous when I walk up to my Harley wearing a full face helmet and Suzuki red and grey riding jacket that looks more suited for sportbike attire. I can't wait to buy an Aerostich suit and wear that on the cruiser :P

That' a great video that BigDog uses as their commercial. What makes that guy even cooler as a BigDog owner is his calm reaction to her showing the twins. I guess you get that a lot when you ride those ridiculous chrome hoss's.

I saw a BigDog for sale at Bloodworth BMW today in Nashville. Not a chopper but a nice looking bike just the same. I also liked the black R1200R w/white pin stripping. Do any of you have the extra 11k I need to trade my '02 RR in.
What could be better than going on 60 yo on a BMW R1150R going on 60 mph? OK lets not get into that

Yes..you're right...Just having a bit of fun.. :D

When I came across that funny ad I remembered an orange chopper that I saw a few months ago..and took a pic..Choppers are very rare here.

I thought that ad was classic..well done and very funny..and not to be taken too seriously.

And how close is that orange chopper in the ad with the one I saw..very close I thought.

btw..I think a bright orange roadster would look pretty cool...kind of KTM'ish.
