Scotty - it would probably be prudent not to count on 35 riders! And we do tend to be cheap!

why herb? stink, snore or both?

RB, great idea. Perhaps a post on the board regarding this and we can coordinate the travelers from afar.

tell gypsy the fishing is great.

I'll continue my lookins for a suitable establishment for all of us.

also, let me know who would like beer/beverages for the weekend. if you all remember our fun little beer runs in w.virginia, it was quite amusing but the place was real close. i'd like to have some tasty cold ones already there for consumption. PLUS, i can arrange for some good brews. No sissy beers.

Scotty's gonna get us some PBR for the '08 Bash!!

IN!

But I prefer Yuengling, AND it's brewed right there in nearby Pottsville.

Lord willing..count me in. Seems like the Bash is the only way I'm gonna get away from here anyway...everytime I try to plan something now, something comes up. I've barely ridden my bike, although I just spent a crap load of $$$ on it, tires, etc.

Put me down for the good beer. If there's a microbrewery within walking/crawling distance, even better. I don't want any of that 'lite' crap.

And, I want a single room too. I stink, snore, and if I want to bring a hooker back to the room with me, I'll have that option.

There is a microbrewery or two but they're in Williamsport which is about 40 miles south back towards the highway. no reason why we can't make it part of our loop on saturday!

ummm, no PBR will be served, sorry.

Yuengling and Potsville is futher southeast than ya think.

I'm thinking that even if we can get a keg of decent beer, it's better than hauling tons of bottles, etc. (i'll see if i can get the innkeeper to set this up! money talks, b-s walks.)

Or else i'll pack my extra large lids with nothing but beer and mail my undies to the inn.

The tally:

So far there are about 16 people on the board who said they're in, including 2 or 3 maybes.

Problem is that most want a single. That will be hard to do in one house let alone keep the price point low.

Everybody please pm me with your bedding preferences. List at least two, please. If you have none, just say 'none'.

sweet. think biff will actually finish a beer next year or just talk about it?

For the record, I like lite sissy beer. But if we're in west PA, we gotta drink Rolling Rock.

Iron City Beer is the beer of Pittsburgh.

And I believe that western ap is shot and a beer territory. :smt030

Unlike Meigs County, OH which is more in tune with this :smt033

PBR me ASAP.

The Yuengling Brewery is not open on Sundays or New Year's Day.

turns out the big b/b i found is NOT recommended by the local chamber and will not allow them to join. hmmm....

i have some people on the hunt for some b and bs to accomodate us, but keeping the price nice and low will be the hardest part of all of this. it'll be easier to strap a keg onto my bike!

i'll email jim on the honda and recruit him for some recon!

Scotty - just a suggestion but if you can find a locale with a couple of B&Bs close together it might make it easier.

As to the beer, I don't drink enough to offer an opinion. I'll drink 2 of whatever is available, talk my head off for an hour, then go to sleep!

Especially if it follows a good day of riding and a good meal!
