Sorry folks. I need to go back through my PMs, and get a list together.

I will edit my initial post with the list.

I want to go as well. I hate to advance financial woes as a potential excuse, but I will have to anyway. Oldest is headed to college, the house is suddenly worth less than what I owe, and not only will there be no raise this year, the cost of health insurance will actually contribute to a fiduciary backslide.

I have not missed a Bash since I joined you guys on the second one. I am looking at ways to convince the wife how it will be totally worthwhile for me to spend the money on gas, food, lodging, and beer. Hmm, maybe leave out the beer part.

I'll nail down a GO-NOGO by Easter.

I plan to be there, barring any last minute drama. Can't leave until Friday morning but hope to get an early start and arrive late afternoon. Reserved a room with 2 beds weeks ago - poor Boxer doesn't know what he's in for (My advice: don't forget your earplugs).

Anyone else from this side of the Mason-Dixon line headed to Fayetteville and want to link up for the ride down?

Anybody have advice on favorite routes from the North?
More importantly, how about some great places to eat north of there?
The Diners Drive-ins & Dives guy was at someplace in WV that started as a converted school bus; apparently popular w/ one of their senators, but still not changed much since the bus was de-axled.

Where will you be starting from and how many miles if you take the direct/no frills route? How many days to arrive in Fayetteville? I may be able to help out with some ideas.

PA 26 runs north-south from around Loch Haven and State College (Bald Eagle State Park) to Bedford and Everette; then connects (in a very serpentine way) to MD 26 near Hancock. Take old US 40 and side roads to get to Old Town, MD/Green Spring, WV, cross the river and proceed south in WV on or around WV28.... maps from there lead to many interesting options.

Haven't finalized a route yet, but will be coming down from the Fingerlakes; most likely on 15 to Rt 6 then down 144(?) to Renovo. The roads north & south of Renovo are very cool but may take more time than I want to spend at the beginning of the trip. Taking two days to get down, around 270 miles each day, 2-up. Like the shirt says, "The Road is The Goal". A couple of years ago we came up from Seneca Rocks through Altoona, and all I remember from Seneca Rocks northward was boring roads, but that's probably because we slabbed it through Altoona.

I'd like to get somewhere around the lattitude of Pittsburgh around 50 miles east of the city. MLW & I went to Fallingwater (cool looking architecture, butt crevice architecht); as I recall the area around there looked like it could have some good rides, but it was a long time ago. Any 'must ride' roads around there?

Once you get to Bedford(Pa), try US220 to Cumberland and pick up WV28 to Romney.

In Romney, WV; Shirley's Diner: 44 North Marsham St. one block west of the WV28/US50 intersection.

If you run south on US220, there is the Sunrise Diner in Moorefield, WV and a small Cafe'(coffee shop) in Franklin, WV.

Just north of the intersection of US220 and VA39 in Warm Springs is Bath Street where the Jefferson Pools are located. If you can afford the time and your ass looks like chewed bubblegum, stop in. For $17 you get a towel and a one hour soak in the 98 degree sulfur pools. Don't forget to ask for the "hydromassage" afterward. You do not have to be a registered guest at the Homestead Resort.

Thanks for the heads up.
Even though it's a few weeks away, I'm really getting antsy.

It's after easter, so what's the decision? You have to sell it as therapy. Much needed mental therapy!

Unfortunately I'm out since I've been violently sucked into a wedding party. I'm tempted to head to the bash instead of the reception, but there's free booze!

Anyone know if there is somewhere in the vicinity (loosely defined) of the hotel that I could leave a car and trailer for a few days without finding it on milk crates when I get back? 8-[ Thinking of trailering our bikes out there, spending a couple days at the bash, then going to the coast on bikes only. Plus trailering will save me two days round trip through slab land.
