Ves,
My guess is that the hotel would be a decent place to leave the car/trailer combo. There is only one way in and out of the parking lot.

What route are you taking to WV?

Is it true? Your wife is coming? On the back of your bike? How did you talk her into that?

Had a bit of setback with the bike recently that may preclude me from getting to the Bash. I posted about the problem on the main board but nothing I’ve tried has worked. In fact, the problem seems to be getting progressively worse and will probably necessitate a trip to the dealer.

At the moment it is questionable whether I’ll be able to get things fixed by Bash time.

Challey,
Sorry to hear you are still having the problems with the bike. Don't cancel the room reservation just yet. I may still need it, if you can't come and no-one else needs a roomie.

Phil --

I'm still holding out hope that I'll get things running properly by Bash time - just wanted to put it out there that things are questionable at this point.

I think that you can cancel the room right up to 24 hrs prior, so I was planning on holding on to it until the last minute.

Hope I can make this - just have to wait and see.

In three weeks it'll be running like a champ.
Has to be something simple, I'm sure you'll figure it out.

Guys, I am real late planning this ride - go figure - you would think that retirement would afford me more time?? ...............but I am heading to the Bash Friday AM and would like to share a room (w 2 Beds, Phil) with someone for Friday and Saturday. I am fairly easy, sleep well, am well-adjusted (by my definition), do not smoke and will bring you cash for my half.

ANY TAKERS out there??

Please advise by email ([email protected]) or a post here.

Paul -- My son had to cancel this year so I have half a room available if you are interested. I don't smoke or snore but I am an early riser.
PM me if interested.

If you are planning on going, reserve your room today. They are holding a block of rooms for us until the middle of this week.

Room is booked.

Hey Jeff, any chance you can get a listing of attendees for BBVI?

I will be bringing one of my friends(TJ) down to the Bash. We will leave on Wednesday, arrive Friday, depart Sunday, and be home Monday night: a six day vacation.

I have intentionally not made reservations due to scheduling uncertainties on my part. My intentions are to head up very early sat morning or possibly friday evening if I get back in town early enough. I will just have to trust that I can find a room somewhere.
Hope to see you guys there.

Here's what I've done so far: After pulling the plugs - L side was perfect, R side very slightly blackened - I reset the Motronic anyway even though it seemed that the problem was not fuel system related. I checked the vacuum lines from the TB's but there was nothing grossly wrong (no visible holes or cracks). Since new vacuum line tubing was $.50 a foot at the auto parts store, I replaced the lines back to the plastic T-fitting before the charcoal cannister. I didn't have immediate access to the Twin Max I usually use for TB syncs, so I deferred that activity to this weekend. Unfortunately, it's been raining more or less constantly over the past 5 days, so I did not have a chance to do the TB sync (no garage, making me the proverbial shade-tree mechanic). I couldn't resist firing the bike up during and taking a short ride during a brief respite from the wet stuff though. She ran pretty well and the rough idle is mostly gone.

Given the number of things that changed, it's impossible to know what the cause of the original problem was. It may have simply been contaminated fuel and it took some time and miles for the Sea Foam to work. I'd say the TB sync is icing on the cake at this point and that I'm good to go.

Hope to see you all in a couple of weeks. Reminder to Phil: Bring your earplugs.
