Do you notice the lack of mass in the wheels (and therefore gyroscopic stability) is reduced with your wheels?

ie. is it still 'rock steady' at speed?

The bike does spin up quicker due to less weight in the wheels.
The bike is just as stable.
One thing though, because of the weight loss the bike now steer even quicker, it's real sharp.

Thank you for the compliments! I didn't ride with the stockers before replacing, but thus far I am very pleased with the mirrors. They are very stable at highway speed and the blue tint works great at night by reducing headlight glare. So far, they appear to be more stable than the mirrors on the R12RT. Only time will tell if they were worth the price...

Sure thing... One of my only gripes about the R12RT was the side cases, and of course the OEM jobbers for this bike are the same. I thought I'd give these a try as they were the only top-opening cases I could find with a mount specific for our bike. They're called TRAX ALU-BOX and are made by SW-MOTECH. The cases can come right off and the mounts are removed in about a minute with minimal evidence left.

I love the headlight! The paint scheme and the K1300R headlight make it look faster. I think you'd have the same problem with buffeting though... More aggressive handlebars would get you lower and into the proper position for that screen, but make for a darn uncomfortable ride on the long haul...

The K front end helps cover up the cut out at the front of the tank. Thats what I was saying.
