Going Up the Country
Yes folks, we are turning back the clock to 1969 and reliving history for BB8. We shall be headquartered in Milford, Pennsylvania on the banks of the Delaware River. Our host lodging will be at the Myer Country Motel with the overflow directly across the street at the Milford Motel. Reservations will not be taken until after the first of the New Year. For those who wish to bivouac in bush, a campground is just 2 miles down the road.

This area is just below High Point where New Jersey, New York, & Pennsylvania join their borders. The area is great for riding in that it has something for everybody: challenging roads, good food, and fantastic scenery. I would suggest that 3 days be set aside for riding. If you can, plan to arrive on Wednesday (5/11) and depart on Sunday (5/15). Three routes have been developed to encompass the Tri-State area. They will take you into the Catskill Mountains, Poconos/NW Jersey, and a run up to Bethel Woods(the site of the Woodstock Concert). Consider it three days of Peace, Love, and Shredding Asphalt. This may be the farthest north you will travel for the Spring Bash, but it will be worth every mile.

Mark your calendars; details to follow.

That's a 9 hour super-slab for me IF I don't stop for fuel or food. I'll have to ponder on it for a while but it's on my radar. Thanks for posting.

Only about 11 or 12 hours for me! I will probably take the scenic route over a couple of days to get there and burn the slab heading for the barn Sunday.

Heck, it was nearly 700 for me coming back from the Bash in Central, PA. Mostly in the rain and some lightning! Come on Chris, you need to show up! ;)

I would love to come to this, but its just too far for me with the time I have. Delorme puts Milford at 937 slab miles for me and close to 1000 using backroads. That's two long days to get there, and I would do it but the problem I have as a teacher is its so close to the end of the school year, we are monitored closely for taking excessive days in a row, or sick days when we aren't sick, etc. We can't just plan and take a few vacation days at a preplanned event. We have all summer (or about 7 weeks actually for me) to vacation and then we only get sick days or 3 personal days a year.
I'll be retiring from this crap in a couple of years and this will not be an issue. Until then, I'm stuck pretty close to home except for weekends and certain breaks, like spring break. This week I'm off for our Fall break, but there's no Bash this week. Ha!
So you guys have a great Bash, and take lots of pictures.

At just over a hundred miles away I would really hate to miss this one. Hopefully I can keep my schedule clear!

Wow -- at 40 miles away, Milford is right in my back yard. And it is before the weekend of college graduation -- I am in!

Hey Chibert; man up; MLW & I did over 800 each way 2-up. Getting there is half (or more) of the fun. You can do it; besides the route from Southern Ohio to North Jersey / South PA is great (make Renovo PA a waypoint; you won't be disappointed).

Although MLW is in the Motherland for a while & my travel schedule is looking busy next spring I'm committing to be in for the whole deal. Rode to central PA (Renovo) last Sat w/ some Guzzi & old Duck sport bikes - they can run (but not out run) Elephantitus. When they're tired and need to head home I can ride dirt for a few more hours too.

Absolutely looking forward to it.

Keep it in sight. You are too close not to attend.

Besides, this is not Marlinton; you don't need a lid to go around the block on your scoot.

Understandable in your situation. Retirement can't come soon enough.

I'm sure the BB9 will be closer to home for you. Catch you then.

Ride safe,

At 1300 slab miles from NOLa, it's a chipshot

When you arrive with a flat spot in the center of your tread, there will be some kick ass twisties to round off the profile.

Does MILF-ord have any particular reputation besides the DWG?
