Tire wear

Post by famousperson »

Probably more than you want to know about tire wear:

Interesting take on why the left side of the front tire wears more than the right (or vice versa in right-hand drive countries).

I just noticed my front tire (Conti Road Attack) has severe wear band on left side (my left, facing forward). I'm sure this happened since I moved to FL about 6 mos ago and put about 1000 miles on these straight flat roads. Total miles on tire about 7000. Rear tire is worn flat in center. This link helps <http://www.rattlebars.com/tirewear/index.html>. Anyone else notice this?

Last time I changed them, I also noticed the front tire was worn more on the left side. I've seen that web site before and it seems logical to me.
