Speedster aka Flyscreen kit

Post by tar356 »

I'm looking for a Speedster windscreen kit. Is the dealership the only place to get these??

I would even consider a very good used one.

Thanks,

Todd

eBay. About £50 so $80 or so. Mine was second hand and lightly used but clean and undamaged. Had to try for several as I was being outbid.

Thanks for the replies.

My local dealer says the parts are not available.

Looks like the hunt begins!

I've got a very nice Speedster tinted windscreen on my bike now. Thought about keeping it for rides here and there, but would rather just use the touring screen I just ordered. Let me know if anyone is interested.

Happy riding! Thanks,

i also need the brackets and can't find them...
for years, now, i have searched...
anybody have a clue on who/what/where/when to buy them or why they are so difficult to find?
(or a pair to sell, would be ultra-nice.)

Mine (genuine BMW) has only got two mounting arms/points. Been secure enough over many thousands of miles and been rigid even at higher speeds.
Are you sure you are searching for the right items?

The brackets pictured in the Beemer Boneyard link above are the Touring/Sport Screen brackets, those brackets were only available with the above mentioned windshields from ZTechnik not as individual parts from BMW.

I have a set, upper arms and bolts are new, lower arms like new. Have all the hardware. Bought a new touring screen for my 04 r1150r and it came with another set. Already had a sport screen on my bike. I can sell for same price as Boneyard. I'm in Vancouver Canada. I can package and get a price to ship which will be on top of the selling price. Let me know. I can also send you a pic.

BMW R1150R Small Windscreen Kit

Mine looks like the above USA item, which was shown in the original UK brochure as well . It has only two mounting brackets. Are there two design of small BMW windscreens in the USA?

Not 100% sure?...but I believe the two speedster brackets, are the same as two [of the four] touring shield brackets....{the upper ones perhaps}

I have seen them from time to time on Beemer-Boneyard. Also you may want to try Re-Psycle BMW. It seems when no one has ?? He has three.
