I'm Back

Post by Marty2 »

Hey All,

I've been a member here since I purchased my 05 R1150R. Been away for a couple of years since I sold it(other than to attend The Bash). I regretted selling it when it was gone.

So..... I picked up a new to me 2010 Alpine White R1200R on Saturday. Great bike, all the R1150R was and then some. I think I'll be around for awhile. :D

Hey Marty, good to see your post. I've been thinking the same thing. My little F650GS twin, while very economical and reliable, is just not "doing it" for me. I'm looking hard at a R1200R.

Congrats on the new bike. Personally, I really like it in white. It just "works".

Great bike! I would have bought Alpine White if they still offered them on 2012's...

Great and good looking bike - and welcome back! But what is that gay looking sheepskin on your seat?

Even though everyone knows the matte silver finish adds four hp that is a great looking bike. I ride with the luggage most of the time and tend to forget how good the RR looks without them. How many miles are on it? Your pipes don't even look fully browned yet. On another note, how can you tell the sheep was gay just from looking at the skin?

Hi Phil, After two months without the RT and only the thumper GS(love that little bike) I was missing the adrenalin rush when you twist the throttle.
Hope to make HM next year since I'll be retired and relocating to VA.

14,000 +. This R was meticulously maintained(have all the service records) and doesn't look like it was ridden very hard. Showroom condition when I picked it up. I guess the Gray color gives it away. :)

I have a sheepskin on the R1200 bit bigger than that one
Its cut out of a sheepskin rug what a differance it makes for comfort.
