rockster lower fork bridge torqing need help.

Post by warkat »

hi there does anyone know how to torq the top nut on the lower fork bridge on a rockster. to get it off i had to use an hex key to hold the centre while turning the nut with a 22ml ring spanner.the problem is tightening it to the proper torq i can use the hex key and ring spanner to get it as tight as i can but then i have to put the torq wrench on with a socket which means i can no longer hold the middle part and the whole lot turns. this has to be 130 nm. how do the dealers do it do they have some sort of torq spanner ?.

Don't know the answer, as I've never had to touch the Telelever components on five such bikes owned thus far.

Please see the following topic for info specific to that lower Telelever ball joint:

Good reminder to safety wire my Rockster in similar fashion, after thorough inspection.
