Tyres:

Post by Davelee99 »

Gents, I have been riding on my Rockster for two sets of Rensport Metzlers as reccomended by BMW. I have changed to a Michelin Pilot Road (the cheapest one) its fantastic! very sure footed, gives huge confidence on either dry or wet roads. Any comments?

Tyres are a very personal thing - I prefer Pirellis to Michelins myself - the Diablo Strada was probably my favourite tyre for the Rockster, shame it's been replaced. :(

MEZ6 on at the moment, wear is excellent and grip is excellent. OE were BT012s.

I'd be tempted with Road Pilot 3s next time.

I am using the Pirelli Angel ST, very good all around. The OEM Bridgestone were the original selling point, loved those after many years with /5, and /6's, the Rockster handles light years better than the old Beemers.

I ran 2 sets of Conti Road Attack and liked them. I'm mostly concerned with mileage and I got around 10k miles out of the Contis.

Last year I switched to Mich Pilot Road (the original ones) as I got a good price. They have almost 10K miles and look to have 3-4k left. These are the best tires so far.
