A screen question, 1998 R850R, has Touring screen, options?

Hi.

My 1998 R850R came with a genuine BMW Touring screen.

The big screen is fine in winter, although it does cause enough extra wind noise that I now wear earplugs.

I usually take the screen off for summer, and remount it at the beginning of winter.

I was wondering if there was an alternative, smaller, sportier screen which would fit onto the same mounting points as my Touring screen.

Anyone got any ideas?

If I can't find a smaller screen, I guess I'll just have to buy a sheet of clear poly carbonate and try and make my own.

I just cut mine down for a compromise fitting. I took 1.5 inches off it and now it is quieter, less buffeting and I get a bit of pressure on my helmet which helps support it for less neck strain. I am happy enough with it now so I have stopped taking it off in the summer.
