Upload them to a free picture service like photobucket.com
then link to that address from here.

My 2004 1150R on a recent ride along Highway 1 near Big Sur. A beautiful ride any time of day but when the sun starts to drop...it's magical.

Here we go again!!!!!!!

Post by erock1150 »

That would be great. Last time we did this we all had a great time. I think toner was the one that started the group ride the last time. We ended up in Pats neck of the woods. So how about Pat come on over to ours this time and enjoy what hwy 1 has to offer. Lets get this ball rolling we need a day (Saturdays are best for me), a place to meet (Star Bucks again?)and a time.

Saturdays...

Post by toner87 »

This coming Saturday is my last free Saturday for quite a while... Probably too short notice to get a ride going... SF Opera rehearsals start next week and we usually rehearse Saturdays... However, Sundays are usually free...
I also have a pretty flexible schedule, so if someone's up for a weekday ride, I could be into that as well... Erock, how the heck have you been?

T.

P.S. Taosports, that shot of the black r1150r @ dusk (I assume) is gorgeous.
What kind of camera rig are you using? I noticed your a photojournalist by trade and that is one sweet shot... I just upgraded to a DSLR and am finding the learning curve pretty steep... Never had a real SLR, just a Nikon 990...

Toner,

Thanks, Highway 1, Big Sur is one sweet ride...hard not to get pretty photos.

I use a 3 year old Canon Powershot S40. It's a 4 megapixel camera with a 3X optical zoom. I keep it with the bike so that I always have a camera with me.

For work, I use Canon Mark II's (DSLR).

I know what you mean by the steep learning curve but the great thing about digital photography is that you can shoot as much as you want. So shoot away and learn from your mistakes and have fun sharing your successes.

THIS Saturday?

Post by Pat »

I hafta ride with the Triumph guys I've been chatting with; haven't met 'em yet..... I need to find out what they mean by calling me another "Las"; a few of my posts, and that's what their saying about me. I can only hope that "Las" is a person they have no beef with.

- BUT -

If a ride is jumping off this Saturday, I'll ride over to meet ya! The Triumph guys can wait (if there's gonna be more than "Toner" and I).

I was hoping I could make a ride this Saturday but as luck would have it (or I should say lack of luck) I can't make it. However I could ride on a Sunday if that would help. So if Sunday is a better day for us to put together a group then lets do it.

I'm doing good toner hope you are to. It was such great fun that ride we did that I have been hoping we could do it again sooner reather then later.(everything but the someone going over a clif part) Also I do have the ability to get away from work on the weekdays so maybe you and I and anyone eles who would like to join can put together a ride on a week day.

Guys,

Looks like scheduling this weekend might be difficult. . .

Any interest for next Sunday (4/3). . .same ride. . . North Route 1?

We can touch bases on this board toward the end of next week to check weather, and confirm if its a "go".

What da ya all think?
