more sad news

Post by owldaddy »

For those folks who are in the Modesto area, I'm sure you knew Corey. A member of the Cycle Specialties team (Modesto BMW), and the man who turned me onto to this board. Corey had an automobile accident last Saturday. He was 23. He will be missed by those who knew him.

I know what your feeling Pat. Words can't describe how I felt when I heard the news. I saw Corey 2 weeks ago. He was very proud of the new paint job on his S. We talked bikes for a while, and shook hands. That was the last time I saw him.......... John is having a get together to celebrate Corey's life at his home on Sunday. If your interested, you might give the shop a call for the details.

Corey:
Soft spoken, fun loving, professional, friendly, helpful, concerned, X-gen' Gentleman,
and you rarely got out the door without his having found something you knew you (suddenly) wanted/needed......

This is hitting me kinda hard; I didn't want to read of this right now.

Corey, his family, loved one's, co-workers, his friends, acquaintances, and complete strangers fortunate enough to have been helped by him..........
I am saddened for all, his was a very warm soul, and a MOST welcome smile.

Truly Sad News...

Truly sad news...

Corey sold me my two Wunderlich bags about a year and half ago. He and I swapped e-mails about Ohlins shocks, his R-1100-S, and chatted on the phone numerous times... As mentioned he was professional, friendly, extremely polite, and always helpful, but fun to talk with, too. He sent me some great pictures of his S.

I never met him in person, but felt I knew him from the phone, and I had no idea he was only in his early twenties as he seemed mature beyond his years.

Truly sad, sad news...

My heart goes out ot his family, friends, and to you board members who knew him personally. No doubt he will be missed.

Godspeed, Corey.

This is unthinkable, too much.

What was Cory's username on the board. Seems I remember the guy but he had an F650CS.

Disturbing.
