Anyone know the SAE number for the internal illumination bulbs for the speedometer and tachometer ??

I just needed the SAE numbers, I've got a source for the LED's .
I removed the speedometer today and found bi-pin bulbs in there .
I did an internet search and found a thread for this, looks like the tachometer uses 194, glass ' wedge ' type bulbs .
Also destroyed the rubber dampers that both indicators use between the instrument and the dash assembly .
17 years of desert heat destroyed rubber and plastic parts .

FWIW, these ADV threads inspired my Rockster1 instrument lights retrofit using LED bulbs:

Sooner or later I will do the same to Rockster2.

All of the bulbs are the same. I replaced all of mine with LEDs but don't remember the number. The low fuel light flashes very quickly when you first turn the key on so you know it's in the right way. One thing to keep in mind is that you want to use matching colored LEDs behind colored lenses. I think they are t10 LEDs but not 100% sure.

Judging by my receipt from a few years ago, I bought four #74 LED bulbs and one BA7s LED bulb. If I remember correctly, the BA7s is for the clock.

I did this a few years ago. The hardest bit is getting the old globes out.

The list below should help.

The thread discussing it is here. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=23754&p=207498&hili ... ED#p207498
